This is our story
We grew up in Palencia, among lifelong friends, bread and chocolate snacks, and games that are vintage today. Then life took us to Madrid, where we met (finally) and began to build something very much our own.
There we experienced many things that changed us. Some easy, others not so much... but all valuable. And one day, almost without realizing it, we began to look back home with different eyes.
We returned. And with us, Pirrakas also arrived.
🐦 Why that name?
Manu's grandfather always used to say to him: "Where are you off to, pirrakas?" when he ran down the street.
And over time we discovered that, in the 60s and 70s, in Castile some children started calling magpies "pirrakas"... and later it affectionately came to refer to those boisterous, mischievous, and full-of-life children that we adore.
So yes: Pirrakas is a tribute. To our roots, to our grandparents, and to all those little ones with their own wings who never stop moving or imagining.
